A new book by Andrew Galloway

Postby Guest » April 4th, 2006, 3:24 am

Just heard that John Ramsays pupil Andrew Galloway has just published a new book called Diverting coin magic.

It is a treatise on misdirection applied to coin magic.

Anybody who has his book Diverting card magic will know that this book is essential reading for the serious student.

I spoke to Keith this afternoon.

Andrew has mailed the books to him - they are still in transit.

The UK price will be 21.00 I believe. I assume there will be postage to add, but I'm not sure about that.

The UK price is 21, and postage is paid anywhere in the UK. Overseas orders are 23.50 Airmail.

Andy is able to accept Paypal, so your best bet is to order directly from him... you might even manage to get a signed copy ;)

If you would like some more details, book format etc. then check out my Website by clicking HERE

That website wants a password and login.

How does one contact and send Andrew Galloway paypal to request a signed copy?

Sorry Jonathon, my fault. I have 'fixed' the page allowing anyone to view it, or you can Login using Guest with letmein as the password.

I'd rather not spread Andrew's E-Mail address about for obvious reasons, but if you contact me at closeup.magic@tiscali.co.uk I will happily give you the details.

I will be visiting Andy tomorrow, so will let him know to watch out for E-Mails requesting copies of his new book.

Please accept my apology for the earlier problem accessing the Website.

Richard James,

Please send my regards to Mr Galloway.

I spent an evening in his company last summer in Scotland and had the time of my life!

His magic just blew me away!

Hope the book is a big success

Regards

John :)

John have you considered doing a book on Faucett Ross.. I think it would be fantastic and you knew him as well as anyone.

Magicking: the poster is "John Carey," not "John Carney."

The latest book by Andrew Galloway, Diverting Coin Magic arrived yesterday. It's of similar format and tone to his Diverting Card Magic. I like it and feel it would serve well as a guide in beginning one's studies of coin magic.

For those who've followed from his earlier writings, unlike the books on Ramsay's work this focuses on how ones attention to simple and apparently direct actions can offer a heightened impression of magic to one's audience.

The instruction in this book is uncluttered by discussions of feints and offers instead a discussion of strategies which serve for general audiences. The prose is lucid, accompanied by illustrations by the author.
