Following a recent screening of Richard Turner's documentary, "DEALT", here in Houston, Texas, I was fortunate to conduct a Skype chat with Richard projected to the big screen. In attendance were film buffs from a local film club plus about two dozen local magicians and guests. Richard chatted about the making of the documentary, some "behind the scenes" stuff, his practice time, his travel schedule, and more. The audio portion of this chat is on this week's podcast of The Magic Word.
You can watch a trailer of the film, see some photos, read the blog, enter the contest, listen to the podcast online, and download the MP3 file at: https://www.themagicwordpodcast.com/sco ... rner-dealt
Be sure to enter the contest on the blog for a chance to win a promotional deck of cards especially produced for "DEALT". And if you can't visit South Korea for FISM this year but would still like an "international magic convention experience", then consider attending MagiCuba in Havana, Cuba from November 7-11, 2018. The $100 discount is still good through the end of this month for listeners of The Magic Word. Just be sure to put in the promo code: themagicwordpodcast when you register.
