Any one familiar with Disney's magic show "Mickey & Minnie's Doorway to Magic" ?
Don't recall reading much about it.
Seems to have premiered in 2015/2016 and is back on the road end of this year ...

Re: "new" disney magic show
It's basically a retooling of "Disney Live - Mickey's Magic Show"
The original DL-MMS launched Brad Ross & Alex Ramone but there were branding issues because "the magicians" were more magical and getting more famous/brand recognition than the disney characters so with each annual cast change the magicians were downplayed (and eventually replaced with dancers playing the part of "mickey's friends") shifting the focus back to Mickey.
Doorway to magic is using most of the props i recall from the later incarnation of MMS but they've created this show specifically with no specific or recognisable magician / assistant line-up so that the focus stays on the "magic" of disney and the mouse.
As a side note - if any of these mega brand shows are in your town it's always well worth going to see them just to see how such big multi-million-dollar productions work and see something that has been created and refined by huge creative teams.

Thanks for the insight, Tom !
The Feld / Disney creative engine is mighty impressive ( and looks like some fun magic in the show ! )

The original show was created by Jim Steinmeyer. We ran an article on it in Genii.
