The Michael Weber Workshop at The Genii Convention Will Include ...

Postby Richard Kaufman » March 29th, 2017, 4:59 pm

... More than a dozen astounding effects and deceptive techniques, most of which have never been published, sold, taught, explained or revealed anywhere before. Workshop participants will each receive a collection of special exclusive props and 120 minutes of personal instruction from one of magic's most respected creators.

A small sampling of the things you will learn:

Use your fingers like the rollers of a printing press and slide a dollar bill between them. Your audience will see the bill change as it goes in a $1 and comes out a $100. Your hands are empty when you start and when you finish. New method. No switches. Nothing added or taken away. Like trick photography for the real world.

Perform a remote control miracle. An ordinary store-bought object that you have never seen before travels from one place to another with every action performed only by your spectator. You touch nothing and yet the impossible happens.

Transcend the Dividing Line. A super secret version of the Curry classic Out of this World. One normal deck, no sleights. Once your spectator deals the cards, the cards never cross the line dividing red from black. Crushing.

Know it all. More than 100 different ordinary envelopes, each with a unique 10 digit serial number printed on the outside and different contents inside. You can instantly tell anyone the precise number on the outside of their envelope or the exact details of the contents. A diabolical and practical method for a seemingly impossible effect. Astounding.

I registered for this workshop just as soon as you opened registration. I've attended five of Michael's workshops over the years and not only has every one of them been unique, they each outdo the one that came before.

Looking forward to this, as well as the rest of the convention! Thanks, Richard, for making this happen!!

Have received THREE identical email ads for the workshop and convention in general in the past few minutes. Make sure Margret hasn't fallen over onto her keyboard.

Exciting ads. Looking forward to all events.

Steve, you happen to be in all three groups we mailed to: 2012 attendees, 2015 attendees, and current Genii subscribers. No easy way to sort.

I remember seeing Michael Weber perform at the IBM Convention in Salt Lake City years ago. Probably in the 90's.
This was when the Sony Walkman was out and very popular. He performed a routine with the headphones of a Sony Walkman. Well not the headphones, but the sponge cushions of the headphones. He ended up doing a sponge ball routine where not only the sponge cushions jumped from hand to hand, but so did the sound coming through them. It was a great idea, a perfect illusion and a wonderful routine. Wish I could make it to the convention. Would love to see what he has come up with. Right in the middle of my anniversary. Damn.

What's the cutoff number for Michael's workshop?
