Perhaps real Criss will fare better than claymation Criss, in this episode of Celebrity Death Match.

I smell a rat here. Fake fights between rivals are an old showbusiness tradition. They may well have cooked this up together.

I think Brett Daniels really hates Criss. But it does smell of publicity. My guess is that Angel will either ignore it, or make a counter proposal.

Just last September Criss was threatening to sue other magicians who copied his effects without permission

http://lasvegassun.com/vegasdeluxe/2015 ... ss-angel-/

“There is supposed to be a rule in magic, that if you want or like an effect of another magician, you are supposed to do the right thing, pick up the phone and call, even if the effect is not exact but close, even if you are simply influenced by the effect to come up with something else it is the right thing to do.

“By asking, you know you are taking a risk. You may be told no, and you need to respect that. Problem is, many of those people don’t ask because they don’t have an ounce of originality in effects, presentation or their character. In fact, they are simply an amateur posing as a professional."

And in 2013 he posted this video of all the effects Dynamo had stolen from him... except most of them weren't his in the first place...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uT5ghWVRIk

BLINDFOLD DRIVE - A standard mentalism effect that has been performed by countless magicians. The Great Ovette performed it in Canada pre the 1940s https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Ovette - Dynamo may or may not have done his this trick because Criss did, but Criss has no claim to this effect.

COIN IN CAN - Criss purchased the rights to this effect from creator Wayne Houchin so he could perform it on his TV show and then sell the secret. http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/1194 If Dynamo bought the secret from Criss, how is he a thief?

HAND THROUGH GLASS 2006 - Criss was not the first to do this trick either. David Blaine performed it at least 6 years prior to Criss on an earlier TV special https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8qR7rmcWeM and before him Paul Zenon also pushed his hand through glass on TV. Also in 2006, Cyril Takayama put his hand through the glass wall of a fishtank https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Atga2Nt ... n-GB&gl=SG

MATRIX LEVITATION 2005 - Created by Danny Cole and performed by Criss Angel without permission of the creator. Danny Cole only gave permission to his colleague from the TV show T.H.E.M (2004) Cyril Takayama to perform this effect https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=299uJR9-v2I It was also performed on T.H.E.M episode 2 (2004) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpvWUnNwKrw Criss did not have permission to do this effect.

SAW 2007 - Created by Wayne Houchin. This effect was marketed shortly after. Even Dan Sperry performed it on America's Got Talent in 2010 - one year before Dynamo did it on TV.

PROMO IMAGE - Seriously, if Criss is going to be upset that Dynamo "copied" his pose, then The Illusionists have a right to be upset with Criss for "copying" their pose with his show The Supernaturalists. You can't say people are wrong for copying you, but it's ok for you to copy others.

THREAD IN SKIN - Again, this is an old trick not original with Criss. It's been performed for decades by Indian Fakir's. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyKdW7pKaLs If Criss is claiming that his original touch was pulling the thread from a spectator's stomach - but Dynamo didn't even do that, then Dynamo didn't copy Criss.

WALKING ON WATER 2008 - Andre Kole was the first magician to walk on water when he performed it on Saguaro Lake near Phoenix, Arizona for The Discovery Channel on Dec 24, 2005. Again, Criss does not have a claim to originality with this effect.

WALKING DOWN THE BUILDING 2005 - This one is original with Criss Angel. He did a variation of this in 2003 in his special Supernatural. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRqEpzsXq9U

WALK THROUGH GLASS 2005 - Though this could be argued to be original with Criss, it is a larger version of the hand through glass window performed by David Blaine several years earlier. Along those lines, Dynamo's version was a larger version again.

FLOATING A FOOTBALL 2008 - Both the Criss Angel and the Dynamo versions are terrible and reliant on actors. This is the classic 'Okito Floating Ball' first published in 1905 http://www.themagicdetective.com/2014/0 ... story.html and performed in public (with a different ball). All of the spectators are aware of the method.

Oh, everybody is stealing from everybody else. It has always been thus and will continue to be thus. I am more irritated that David Copperfield has stolen the title of a classic Charles Dickens book for his own use. I find that very unethical indeed.

Magicians stealing from other magicians is the second oldest profession.
