This falls in the category of shameless advertising. I've been working on a new trick that looks pretty cool. Check it out https://youtu.be/RFvKuR1fCNo

I like it, John; looks very clean.
Will you send out an email when it is ready to launch?

Yes Jim, I'll send an email to the people on our list when it's ready. I'm also considering a pre-release with a bonus before the product is ready to ship.

John? Your blog has been very quiet the past few months. I hope that changes!

Thanks for the compliment Joe! I get very few comments on the blog posts so I'm never sure if people are that into it. That said, you have inspired me to put up another post soon.

Re: Marble
The marble can not only roll behind the spread of cards, but also on top of the cards!

Re: Marble
When Gregory Wilson saw the original video he asked me, "Can it roll on top of the cards?" Since that was never the intent I said "Of course not!" Then out of curiosity I tried it and guess what, it worked perfectly. Thanks Gregory. Here's a quick video using another marble https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuRvdzJ ... e=youtu.be

By any chance, did he also say that he had been working on one that could roll on top of the cards, but probably used a different method than yours, and that if you would tell him your method he would e-mail you the details of his method as soon as he got home?

Re: Marble
I'm not going there Brad. I have a lot of respect for Mr. Wilson. He helps me with my new ideas and is brilliantly creative on the fly as I have seen in person numerous times.
Re: Marble
Perhaps the only "problem" is convincing spectators that it does NOT work via a hidden magnet.
That would seem to be the most plausible explanation, in their minds, no?

Re: Marble
I assumed the same thing JFox, that the spectators would think "magnet" right away. Since I don't do shows professionally I haven't performed it dozens of times, but I've done it over a dozen times and much to my surprise no one has mentioned magnets. They are however very curious and want to inspect the marble, but have no idea what's going on.
As far as I can tell the reason has to do with the handling. They see both of my open hands while the marble is rolling and probably assume that if there were a magnet they would see it in my hands. That said, if I found that everyone thought "magnet" I might carry a magnet with me and work that into the routine. Since the marble is not magnetic they would have to reconsider!

Wondering of an "electrostatic attraction" handing would work with a silk held in one hand and a small rod in the other hand that leads the action.

That would work. Electrostatic is very plausible for this.
