MAGIC for $18!
Not sure what edition this is, but it's less than $18!

Re: MAGIC for $18!
It's says 384 pages so I am thinking that it's a third newer smaller edition.

Re: MAGIC for $18!
I looked at the book's dimensions and realized that this must be a newer much smaller edition. The retail price, publication date, dimensions, and other research I did all says that this is not the first or second version of the book.
So I guess the next version of this book will be a 200 page paperback.

It looks as if it's finally achieved a size where one could actually read the volume without injuring ones self

This version is English only, accounting for the reduction in size. Haven't gotten mine yet, but ordered two copies to get the free shipping from Barnes and Noble (on orders over $35). Due to show up via UPS tomorrow. Wonder if there are similar editions in French and German?

Re: MAGIC for $18!
I was just thinking (uh oh), if they eliminated all those pages, then there has to be quite a few posters, illustrations, and other goodies missing from the book. They would have to reduce the number of non text items because there is no longer enough room for them. Correct?
So, on one hand, less chance of getting a hernia and on the other hand, less art work to stare at.

I just bought a copy in store for $19.98. I have not seen an original edition but this one is 14 inches tall and nine inches wide, more than an inch thick, pretty hefty. Nicely printed.
Look for it on the bargain table.

Bill, the original edition of the book is enormous, literally like a tombstone. It is almost impossible to pick up, and they only way to read it is by laying it on a table. Must weigh 10 to 15 pounds.

Wow. If you see a magician with huge biceps you'll know what he's been reading. This new edition is something of a coffee table book, but a good one.

Re: MAGIC for $18!
I feel compelled to add that the set of Tenyo books weighs 20 pounds! More than that puny book of magic posters.

Re: MAGIC for $18!
Just for fun, someone should order Tenyoism AND the original edition of Magic and have them delivered at the same time via UPS or FedEx. Or maybe not...

I ordered a weight-lifting program for home delivery. The first week they sent 5 pound weights. The next week I got 10 pound weight. The week after that, 20 pound weights. It really works—you should see the muscles on my mailman.

Maybe it's time to reinforce the coffee table!
I actually use a special foldout heavy duty TV dinner table I was given as a gift to read the first edition of MAGIC. It has metal legs, a vinyl top, an adjustable height, and handles the book very well. That's what I plan to use when reading Tenyoism.

The phrase: "weight-lifting program for home delivery" made me remember this:

The nearest I can find in the UK, is this one:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/3836553015/r ... BRFZKCVDGS
The covers are different, and the UK offered version has 200 pages. All posters?
Anyone seen both and compared?

That looks different. That looks like the set of 100 postcards (there 2 sets of 50 different images). The one below is a book.

Yep, that's what I thought. It looks a decent enough effort, but the book seems the better option.
Thanks!

I got the postcards for Christmas. They are very nice. Very thick card stock and cool box. Only disappointment was that it's 2 copies of each card and not 100 different images.
