Lubor Fiedler book - A little bird...

Postby P.T.Widdle » September 24th, 2015, 11:32 am

...whispered in my ear that Richard will be publishing this, and Dustin is writing it.

Can't wait!

Not a secret; it's been discussed on the Cafe.

Lubor's sudden death (he told no one that he was ill) has naturally delayed the project, so it will be a year or two until it comes out since we now have material to go through but no guide.

I'm trying to do something extra special with this, but have no idea if that will work out yet. Quite complex to bring to fruition.

What's Mark Setteducati's involvement, if any?

I understand the deluxe version of the book will come in a slipcase.

The reader will be able to take the book out of the slipcase then store the slipcase inside the book while he (or indeed she) is reading.

Will they be able to take a post it note and write LARRY JENNINGS BOOK on, and stick that on the slip case and pretend it is for the larry jennings book or not?
Yes, it is mrgoat, I just can't log in with old account.

And there will be a dime laying on the dust jacket. If you push the dime, it will pop through the jacket and lay on the front cover.

I do like a nice slipcase.

And a dustjacket too for that matter.

If my plan for Lubor's book materializes, it will require a BOX. :)

I do like boxes too - nice ornate wooden ones to be specific, perhaps with a locking metal hasp or two.

Aaaah! It´s about time and I hardly can´t wait, since I´ve only got, what has been published in German!
(I bow my head! What weird, wonderful, marvellous, bizarre ideas he had!)

Richard's original plan required a sub trunk.

Whatever happened to this project?

(The reason I ask is that Wasshuber's newest newsletter requests help finding copies of magazines with tricks by Lubor for inclusion in "his" Lubor Fiedler book.)

Yes, it's Chris's project and has been for several years.
