It seems that the inventor of "The Cube," one Takamiz Usui, has watched the trailer for "Cube 3" by Steven Brundage and determined that at least two of the tricks were created by him. Cube 3 is apparently sold out from the wholesaler already, thus it will be interesting to see how things play out.
This news comes from a post by Usui "elsewhere" on the web.

Re: Another controversy brewing?
Takamiz, whom I have met, writes on his FB wall that he was contacted by Stephen Brundage well before he became famous on YouTube for permission to include his handling in an upcoming DVD. Now that DVD has been released, but Takamiz is not credited. The full story is not as cut and dry as I have described and I'm sure there is much more to this. The people who released this DVD claim that Takamiz' method is not explained on the DVD, only performed.
I have no say in this. Just sharing what the original post says in Japanese.

I just hope the situation does not end up with enmity between the two. Without my knowing the details, it seems to me that they should be able to work out the situation. It does not seem to be as bad as the RED fiasco.
