Not sure how the proposed legislation would affect magicians with big cats. (Sounds like some would be grandfathered in.)
I do think lumping all private owners into one category really isn't fair. For example, from everything I've seen/read, it seems clear that S & R's animals receive top notch care. They may be the exception that proves the rule; however, I think it would be a shame if the private conservation work they've done would be curtailed.
