228: The Illusionists - Hearing the Impossible

Much has been written about the success of The Illusionists, but heretofore, you have not heard much in their own words from their own mouths...until this week. On The Magic Word this week, we hear Jeff Hobson, Kevin James, Aaron Crow and Adam Trent talk about the tour, how they were selected, how they determined what effects they would each perform, some of the venues where they have worked, and several stories along the way that make this a good podcast.

But while in Houston, Jeff had a prior personal engagement that was going to take him off the tour for a day. So who would he get to fill in? David Williamson! We recorded this podcast in the Hyatt Hotel where the cast and crew were staying and midway through the recording, we were joined by David who made this a great podcast.

After we finished recording, we went to the lobby for a light lunch and saw some of the other cast and crew leaving for the theater to set up for the evening show. One of those we saw was Antonio Hoyos, the little person who has played "Charlie Chaplin" with Keven James for many years. He stopped to tell us a few short stories (no pun intended) that makes this podcast absolutely and thoroughly entertaining and super satisfying.
