Re: Eddie Dawes and the Hull Magicians' Circle
Great chap, Eddie. Well deserved.
We visited him and Amy on several occasions; always a warm welcome mat for magicians.
A deep fund of knowledge and general chatter, but mischief maker that I am, in between the magic, I often tried to get him to talk a bit about his long time pal, Philip Larkin.
Eddie’s library is vast, but the guest book is worth a bob or two and speaks of history.
Congratulations. Good job well done.

Re: Eddie Dawes and the Hull Magicians' Circle
Thanks for the mention Dustin, it certainly is an amazing achievement for Eddie. Sadly Paul Daniels was ill on the day but Martin Daniels stepped into his shoes and along with Andrew Green provided a brilliant Gala Show. Debbie McGee provided an after-dinner speech and posed for photos, and we had before dinner entertainment in the form of Bunco Booths.
We had menu inserts printed with some background on Eddie, and printed special money 'Eddies' to use in the Bunco Booths, we also had a special slideshow tribute that played during the interval.
