Swimsuit Model "Magic"

Postby Dustin Stinett » February 24th, 2015, 3:48 pm

Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen proves that "easy magic" is not so easy. And Jimmy Kimmel proves he couldn't care less about going back to The Magic Castle:

Nice to see that the Castle maintains it's high standards for membership.
I used to think they would just accept anyone who could pay the fee.

You can see the difference right away between a d*ck like Jimmy Kimmel and someone with talent who knows how to do a good nighttime TV show like Jimmy Fallon.

I happen to agree with Kimmel about the Castle's dress code: I HATE it, and in my opinion it's stupid to turn people away at the door for any reason unless they're drunk or something. But the place is packed every night so the AMA is certainly not going to listen to me!

I don't see how Kimmel was being a d*ck in that segment. He did a little light teasing (magicians being nerds - oh!), and he gave her a polite and sincere opening to perform a little magic. She screwed it up royally. I don't see how Fallon, or anyone else, could have saved that.

I have only been to the Castle a few times, but I appreciate the dress code. Who wants to sit next to a hairy legged man in shorts, wearing a baseball cap while he eats? It ain't McDonald's. It is a private night club.

A little bit of class is cool.

Kimmel's immediate take was that magicians are losers, and he was pissed that he was made to wear someone else's sportjacket because he showed up without one. He has a snarky attitude that smells.

Bill, you don't have to go in completely the opposite direction. The dress code could easily be "business casual," which would exclude guys with hair legs in shorts and flip flops.
