Since we're going through a renaissance of old TV magic performances I thought I would throw this to the genii massed - Genuinely I cannot make my mind up if this is terrible or absolutely genius and balls of steel to have the method so blatant that shows he totally understood the mechanics of TV performance.

(obviously the haircuts and over-static performance are terrible but were at least in keeping with the style at the time of broadcast)

I vote for brilliant as well. I am very roud to count Silvan as a friend, and there are so many great things about this routine. First, perhaps, is that mirror-like, bare stage. There seems to be no place for trickery. Then, there's the necessity of doing one's time. A suspension is a quicky, unless you know what you're doing. Taking into account when the act was performed, I think Silvan does a masterful job filling 4 1/2 minutes.
And take a look at this one:

What stage presence!
Penn & Teller had to expose this to make it play for them.
Listen to the audience at the conclusion!

First time I've ever seen this classic in a 4-part version. I must be woefully behind on my stage illusions.

Judging by the girl's facial expression...I'd say she's HATING every second that she's in the box!
(I've never seen this 4-way Zig-Zag either)
