Dean was not only good at almost everything he did, he was great at making his magic accessibly wondrous and spiritually comforting. This excellence and goodness abides. Although he has physically left us, let us remember and honor how he beautifully befriended each of us and our art at large. R.I.P., old comrade!

We knew that this day would come, but it doesn't seem to matter much.
My condolences to his family and many friends.

Rest in paradise to another great one.

Mr. Dill was one of my inspirations when I was starting out in magic.

I didn't know Dean but after watching the video in this thread, I feel that I got to know a really nice guy a bit and wish I did have the pleasure of knowing him. I feel very sad about his passing.

I suspect that anyone who watches that video will feel the same way I do. RIP Dean Dill.

I visited Dean's shop about 7 years ago, and I remember how kind, gracious and welcoming Dean (and David Regal) were to an unknown magician from Ft. Worth, Texas. I corresponded a few times with Dean as I worked though his coin magic videos, and he was always very patient and precise in his replies. He made you feel you were his friend upon meeting him. I will miss him. May he rest in peace.

Blizzard was One of the first real pieces of magic I learned to do well. It's impact makes me smile every time I perform it. Very sad to have lost another magician. Rest in peace Dean.
Best John

Here's Dean's performance on The Tonight Show. But be sure to watch the video from Dean's website that erdnasephile posted first, however, to get the story behind this:

I only knew Dean through his inventiveness, but like many others here I am quite saddened that I will never be able to meet him in person. RIP, Dean.

Such a tragic loss to the world of magic. Dean made everyone he touched a better person. There is an old saying, "I like me best when I'm with you."

God bless the spirit and memory of Dean Dill

As Hocus-Pocus Magic handled the magic personal property of Dill's estate, they might be a good place to ask.
