This Thursday on SyFy

On Thursday the 29th, we’ll be treated to not one, but two magic programs on the SyFy channel. First up, at 7:00 Pacific time, is the premiere episode of the second season of Wizard Wars, with Penn and Teller and Company.

At 8:00, we have the premiere of Close Up Kings. To paraphrase the promo, three best friends, Magick Balay, Loki, and Johnny Blaze try to outdo each other as they travel across the country performing close-up magic. Seven more 60-minute episodes are in the can.

I’ve never heard of Magick Balay or Loki. The name Johnny Blaze rings a dim bell, but I thought he was a porn star. Perhaps Damian can clarify.
