Jim Alfredson has Died

Postby Richard Kaufman » January 5th, 2015, 1:42 pm

Just got the lousy news that my friend Jim Alfredson died this morning. He'd been in dicey health for quite a few years, but still made it to many collector's and history conferences.

He was a swell guy who would occasionally post here and he will be missed.

This is really sad news.

I have many fond memories of Jim over the past thirty some years. I will miss sharing a laugh or two with Jim, while enjoying a beverage after a day full of lectures at our collectors conventions.

RIP Jim. I will miss you.

So sorry to hear that. Jim was the guest of honor at The Yankee Gathering in 2012 and was always interested in helping out others interested in magic history and collecting. I had the great pleasure of spending some time with him in 2012 and truly enjoyed our time together.

He will be deeply missed...

Jim Alfredson was a great guy. I knew him for 30 years. The stories he told me and the laughs we had are too numerous to remember.(And better than most lectures you could have attened) All I know is that he befriended a young Houdini collector many years ago and that I am grateful for.

I will miss you Most Illustrious One.
