In this month's Genii, Will Houstoun reviews two must have books (for me): the Marty Demarest edited "The Expert at the Card Table" and the Alan Shaxon book. Both look terrific!
I immediately ordered Mr. Demarest's project, but paused at the high (but I'm sure it's fair) shipping price for the Shaxon book. Yikes! Shipping to the US costs over 60% of the price of book. (Now I know how my brother's and sister's across the pond feel).
Does anyone know if any US booksellers will be carrying the Shaxon book or is it a Shaxon exclusive?

The shipping price is not exaggerated. Having just returned from London and heard first-hand the cost of sending a single book, I can vouch that they're not gouging you.
It would be nice if H&R bought a bunch. That would save on postage.

Yes, I figured they weren't making money on shipping--just the cost of doing business these days.

The most expensive shipments seem to be from Australia. If you want something from Down Under, be prepared to dig down under your wallet.

I very much enjoyed Will Houstoun's reviews in the December issue. Does anyone know whether the paperback edition of Marty Demarest's Erdnase will be available from sources other than Amazon? Barnes & Noble only has the Nook edition. Couldn't find it anywhere else in a quick search. It's agin' my religion to purchase from the big A.
