I absolutely hate the tired, trite and cliched opening lines, "How is everyone today? Are you all having a fantastic time?"

No disrespect to the performer - but by Disney standards this comes across as a pretty low budget piece of entertainment ...

The magician's name is actually Jeff Parmer.

Re: Magician Performing at Disneyland Now
In the full length YouTube video of Jeff's act (posted above)...the audience volunteer apparently had second thoughts about "floating" via the ladder suspension...because a generic Disney costumed character came on stage and did the illusion instead, with Jeff.
(Jeff is heard to comment to the original girl in the audience with something like: 'Perhaps you can do it another time, once you see it now').
That video is edited, so we can't see everything that happened, but it just shows that you'd better have a "Plan B" in case a volunteer acts up on stage, or simply refuses to do what you had in mind.
Considering that this is a family daytime audience at Disneyland, I think that Jeff Parmer did a fine performance.
I'm sure its not easy to pass an audition for Disney, as they have seen it all..and they know what does and doesn't work for their parks.

anyone else get that loud music on the video with lyrics "i'm driving like i'm ????? just got my license back..." - and odd colored triangle icon?
in the words of the immortal Bart - "I didn't do it".
Mundus vult decipi -per Caleb Carr's story Killing Time

Poor kid got scared..
Ive found that having Erin helping me to calm a volunteer really helps. We learned it from watching some of the bigger magic shows...
having a member of the same sex telling you it's gonna be ok, seems to calm the nerves..

The only other magician I've seen at Disneyland in the past few years was Johnny Ace Palmer, working as a cowboy magician in the same theater.
