Can you please explain to me how to get the YouTube video to embed here? I have been unable to do that.

Richard,
You should have Brad look into adding a universal "video" bbcode Which (unlike the balky current youtube button) handles youtube, vimeo and several others in a much easier way. (i.e. just wrap the url with [video][/video]
I've been using this for years and it works great.
It only takes a minute or two to add it.

Richard, I'm very sorry for not responding to your request for assistance about embedding YouTube videos. I sometimes post and then forget that I've made a comment and don't revisit that particular thread.
The original post linked to a CNET article. In the middle of the page they embedded the video. In the top left corner there is a link to the original YouTube page that reads in small print "How did he do that?". When I followed that link, I was able to copy the URL from the address bar which reads http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBrxGvd4FWA.
Returning to Genii I clicked the button to post a reply. I pasted in the URL and I have found that by dragging and highlighting the URL then pressing the YouTube button in the top right of the text field helps, but it could just be my imagination. Instead of immediately hitting submit I usually press preview first because it shows how the post will appear. This gives me a chance to correct any problems.
This is the best case scenario. For some reason YouTube videos will occasionally be secure and it's necessary to delete the letter s in https for them to embed successfully.
You've posted videos in the past I thought. Is this a new problem? If there's a video that you remember trying to embed but couldn't get to work send me the link and I can give it a try.
Again, my apologies for the delay.
Michael
