Re: The Genii Store is OPEN
The new $35 digital-only price is a significant reduction for international subscribers, and if memory serves also now less expensive for USA subscribers as well. Dare I say too inexpensive considering the extras that accompany each issue.
You've commented in the past Richard (I can't recall the exact source or statement) that making digital-only available for domestic subscribers would eventually mean the end of the print edition entirely. Apologies if I'm misquoting you, but I think that was the gist of what you had said. Have you changed your mind on the topic or are you accepting the state of the magazine business and seeing the demise of print at some point, if not the near future.
Any plans to add available print back issues to the Genii store? This would address the concern expressed in a recent post by someone who subscribed for a single issue that had yet to be uploaded to the archive.
The Penguin magic monthly option for digital is curious and I would be livid if I subscribed for the $6 monthly rate they're charging. The resulting annual cost of $72 is more than double what someone would pay directly from Genii.

Re: The Genii Store is OPEN
There is no monthly option from Penguin: that was an experiment that has been discontinued since the spring. They are just selling older digital issues that they've already paid for. They also sell single printed copies.
By the time the number of paper subscribers has dwindled to the point where convention printing is no longer an option, there will be affordable print-on-demand magazine services that will take their place.
The new store sells customized items that I hope people will find appealing. It's not for selling paper back issues.

I do like Jim Steinmmeyer's drawings.
Do I spy the word "Nina" hidden in Jay Marshall's and Charlie Miller's hair?

I should know this, but I don't: Are the Steinmeyer items exclusive? I do not see them on his site,
