My Week at the Castle 2014 - Part Five

Postby Scott Wells » July 22nd, 2014, 9:38 am

Okay, this is the fifth and final podcast from my chats with friends during the recent week I performed at The Magic Castle. The Magic Castle hosted a blood donation drive that was well-attended during the Friday luncheon. Paul Green (my first guest) expressed his thankfulness to everyone who donated. He gave each donor a deck of green playing cards, too. Irene Larsen gave me a little time before she had to rush out the door to prepare for her next international trip. Then we walked next door to visit with Dale Hindman as we talked about the Academy of Magical Arts and some of their upcoming projects.

Back at the Castle, I had a chat with Tim Smallwood who has been a long time magician, but after Bill Clinton came into political prominence, well...he found another way to market himself. Ray Kosby was in town visiting friends and talked with me about the Castle Junior club that he belonged to and those others who grew up with him in this organization.

Finally, we cap off the podcast and this five part series with a chat with Jonathan Pendragon and his wife, West. No longer a big illusion, highly acrobatic furniture show, he gives us an update on what they are doing now and the kind of show that works for them.

You can see the photos, read the blog, get the time stamps and hear the podcast all on The Magic Word at: http://themagicwordpodcast.com/scottwel ... astle-2014

Of course you can keep up with what's going on through our Facebook page at http://facebook.com/TheMagicWordPodcast/ (we have nearly 500 "Likes"...please help us get there) and you can also subscribe and download the podcasts through iTunes, should you so desire.

One more pitch...if you can't or don't want to donate, then consider helping the cause by purchasing something from the Shop on The Magic Word. And as always, thanks for listening.
