Yep. And that's it: He's got his two, so now he's done. (You can only win the same award twice.)

For goodness sake I hope we see some different people nominated next year. It's like going to a restaurant every year only to see that the menu never changes.

Do you think that's because most of the AMA members don't get to the Castle enough to see all the lesser knowns?
The Oscars folks are able to send members copies of the movies up for best picture. I think the Emmys allow shows to submit particular episodes for consideration for awards.
It's too bad it's not practical (or desirable, given how many copyists there are in magic) for the artists up for the AMA awards to submit a video shot during their Castle performances so the electorate could be more informed.
In addition, I would hope people wouldn't vote if they didn't actually see enough of the nominated performers to make an intelligent decision.

I think it's a combination of things, a couple of which are mentioned.
With today's technologies, I think it would be possible to have a private YouTube "channel" to post videos to for the AMA members.
BUT (big BUT), seeing magic on video versus in person is so completely different.
For example, Siegfried & Roy never came across well on TV. But live, their show was nothing less than spectacular.
