FYI: David Blaine is scheduled to appear on Jimmy Kimmel this Thursday.

Did anyone else see this? Without a doubt the best I've ever seen him, and that he did Water Spouting--a centuries old stunt--was really fantastic. Now I'm looking forward to his new special which appears will be all magic. It's next Tuesday night on ABC.

I saw this as well! When Blaine is drinking the water, I just couldn't help but laugh through that entire segment.

Blaine's performance was terrific! He smiled, he was funny and he was more three dimensional than I've ever seen him.

I loved his resurrection of water-spouting.

When he had to do some dirty work, he unashamedly got up, turned his back to the camera, misdirected Kimmel with a task and did what he needed to do. That's ballsy, effective blocking.

The equivoque incident made me smile. He asks the participant to name a suit other than Spades to eliminate. She names Hearts. He doesn't eliminate it and that reality flies over the crowd's heads. Instead, he causes all of the other suits to vanish, leaving only the Hearts and Kimmel's selection. Then he looks at the participant, smiles and thanks her for naming Hearts.

Even more so, I think Blaine handled Kimmel well when he asked if he knew why he had picked his card. Kimmel says that he might have forced it on him (which Blaine did), but Blaine just carries on.

It's kind of funny that, in spite of the fact that Kimmel knows about forcing ... he is still surprised when he sees the card written on the Sharpie.
