Real Secrets 17 Has Reached The Genii

I received the new installment of Real Secrets in the mail today and I like it a lot. I'd love to say more, but I can't. It's one of the better items to come out.

And, it comes with a bonus effect, both instructions and prop.

I wouldn't take it for granted, but it appears from the items received the past few months that we are now going to receive the bonus items with printed instructions instead of online as pdfs. I like that, too.

Yes... I liked the updates online, the small notes etc... , too bad we can't have both. But the most important is the trick at the end. Can't wait to receive mine ! No news about Real Secrets first commercial release or Forum, I wonder what happens behind the scenes...

In the past they have used the website to offerer specific refils for limited periods of time. When I needed a replacement for one of the props I just sent them an email and they were really great about getting me a replacement.

Just got an email from Real Secrets with a bonus effect in video form. Yikes! What a clever idea. It could have been a $25 one-trick DVD.

To clarify, I got the same thing you did, as did another friend of mine who is a member, but a different friend did not get it.

The reason? My buddy informed them that he did not receive it and was informed it is a bonus which is now sent when members resubscribe.

Totally worth it.

Anyone else get the bonus? I didn't get it even though I've been a charter member since the very beginning. I've emailed the RS team and have had no response.

Maybe it's a bonus for new members? I don't know. I often get things because I'm the editor of Genii, so now I'm puzzled.

I mentioned in my post above that they just started sending this out when Members renew. If you are a Charter Member that probably means your renewal will hit around Jan/Feb/Mar.

Their response to my inquiry was that every Member would eventually receive it.

If you just renewed or joined in July or August, get in touch with them.

Much buzz about the latest from real secrets. If we sign up now will we get the trick for August or will our membership start with the September trick?

Haven't received any video bonus, but I took the August trick to The Magic Circle and showed it to about a dozen magicians last night and they were all impressed. It's great looking and very puzzling. I'm very happy with it.

You should send an email to Real Secrets and find out. However, I expect that your membership would start with the next release. But I don't really know, so email them. You can do that from their website.

The Real Secrets web page says you'll receive August's tricks if you subscribe now. There is a timer counting down the number of days you have to get the current offering, and you have until the end of the current month.
