Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
Today I received an email asking me to opt-in as part of my Membership. I checked with their Admin to make sure it was legit.
As soon as I did, a nice looking book appeared in my in box - the instructions to the Weber Bonus as promised.
Just wanted to let fellow RS members know that the request is legit, and if you didn't see one, let their people know.

If you are an original subscriber to RS, do not miss this. An unpublished Michael Weber routine is worth its weight in gold.
Re: Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
You got a book?!
After confirming all I got was an email thanking me for confirming. Darn, story of my life.

Re: Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
The bonus item (the instruction booklet -- the props are coming) is superb. It represents why I subscribe to Real Secrets, something which is a stimulus to further thought in a direction I would not have thought of myself.
I sit at my computer virtually all day doing research for a book I'm writing. After a couple of hours, my eyes start to cross and I want to jump out the window. Instead, I can take a break and fool around with what I received from Real Secrets, then return to the main project at hand.
How much is that worth to me per year? It's easily worth the Real Secrets sub price to me.
Them every once in a while, I get an e-mail from Bob Farmer, another subscriber, with an idea or variation and that's another bonus.
Excuse me -- I have to get back to that book I'm working on.

I received what I thought was a bogus email as well. Checked and discovered it was legit, then answered the link and received the book. Great! I can't wait for the props in the mail!

If you're a charter member, I would suggest emailing RS directly if you haven't yet--they typically answer very quickly.

Re: Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
I had the same problem with the link on the email. I contacted customer service and within a short amount of time they sent the file. Also had a problem logging into the site. Again contacted customer service and got a quick response. I wish more companies would handle issues the way RS does. Looking forward to the coming year.

RS has tremendously improved their customer service during their first year. So for those of you who have not received the email, or link, contact them and your problems will be dealt with rapidly.

I decided not to subscribe for year two and contacted RS. My bonus is being sent out.

Re: Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
Uh-oh...
Anyone else notice that the Real Secrets web site is gone? Instead there is a "Register 4 Less" domain parking page saying "Welcome to the future home of 'realsecrets.org'"
Did they mention anything about moving to a new domain? Otherwise it appears that they might have neglected to renew the domain registration.

Whois says the registration is good for more than a year ahead.
They probably do some work on the site and have forgotten to put up a "under construction" sign.

I emailed Mr. Trono about it and he said they are re-vamping the site. They were training on it this week and it will be back up soon.

Big changes coming, many directly in response to members feedback.
Sadly, the bonus item for year 1 members has not yet reached the Genii's home.

Re: Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
Well, it's good to hear that they are making changes for the better, but it would certainly be appropriate for RS to notify its members that they were doing so. After all in a recent broadcast email they stressed that all members should be checking the site at least twice a month "...to take advantage of ideas, bonuses, and instruction sheets."
They should have expected confused members when they suddenly shut down the site without any warning whatsoever, and leave it showing a typical domain registrar message that usually indicates that a site no longer belongs to the previous owner.
Poor communication, in my opinion.
Thank you.

Re: Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
All depends on how you see things. If you are negative any small detail will be taken as something unpleasant and you spend a crazy energy for nothing. If you are positive that kind of detail will remain a detail.
Personally it does not make me confused to find a website with maintenance or error page, on contrary I'm happy because it means that there will be an update. So I wait and I connect later, and I enjoy, simply. We are all adults, we can wait a few hours without needing that RS sending us an email to tell us to be patient. Do not wait for someone to tell you what you have to do. You can do yourself, in the case here ... waiting.
And I do not feel stressed either by the fact to have to check the website at least twice a month...
Change the way you see things and you'll see, it will be more pleasant.

Just got an email with a download link. I checked and it was real. I clicked on the link and about 120 seconds later had something really amazing and unexpected that looks like a great new direction for RS.

Are you talking about the Bonus routine for charter subscribers or something else altogether? (I haven't gotten any emails from RS today).

Re: Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
This was an email that arrived around 5:00 NY time.
It contained some simple instructions and a link.
The link took me to a complementray check-out for a product.
I installed the product and something "appeared" inside.
I looked inside the something and clicked and ended up going through checkout for a second complementary thing.
And this last thing was full of magic, including a secret about something we all overlooked a year ago.
If you are a member and did not get the email, check in with them. I think this is something you will have to have in the near future.

AHA!!!!! Just got the email--this is a cool development! (It's has nothing to do with the Bonus--this represents an important change)
Re: Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
Wow. Lots of goodness in the email sent out today. This shows that they are listening to the feedback. I could at least three things people have raised concerns about recently that are resolved with this single update.

Re: Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
I have Norton security on my computer. It keeps telling me the link is unsafe.
Gee, how I get annoyed with computers. I want to go back when we had just a dozen TV channels, no one walked staring into their phone and when you went to the movies, it was a double feature.
(Sigh.)

Go on the new RS site with very little trouble. I believe this will be a great improvement. One question got me on. I think you'll like it,

I also received the email link. and installed the app on both my Mac and iPad. This is a major improvement.
As for the contents, you will get #14, an #13 update, and a bonus update.
I'm very impressed with the new directions.

Add my name to the "very impressed" list. I had a little trouble getting started, but that's due to my being inept with computers. I'm very interested in how this evolves in the coming months.

Well that's what Revizzit is all about: you pay, but you can't download.
If you're offline, you're screwed.
If you want to sit in the living room in your comfy chair and read without your damn laptop or iPad, you're screwed.
If you want a real piece of paper, you're screwed because you can't print anything out.
I still can't get it to work.

Re: Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
Head Genii, not true!
Today was my first time downloading and using this but here is what I know from an hour of use:
I can print out the instructions to #14 (I am holding them)
I can read every page offline (even with no WiFi around)
And I can choose which issue and when to activate it so my IPad memory is not totally dominated by 6 issues of two magazines
And I know this because I got it to work like the other happy campers above.
Send them a message and I am sure they will walk you through it.
I love it.

Re: Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
I'm glad to hear you can download and print the material. That makes me happy.
Personally, I have no evidence of that since I can't get the Real Secrets material to appear on my homepage, or wherever the hell it's supposed to appear after you've added it to your cart and checked out.

Re: Real Secrets Weber Bonus and Email
I had a similar issue re: seeing the info in my Revizzit account. I then realized that there was more than one step to completing the order (you need to "review order" and then "submit order."
Now I see it in my account, but I am waiting for a reply to my email regarding instructions on downloading and printing the material. I have always received quick replies to each of my customer service questions, and I am perfectly confident that I will have the instructions in hand soon.
Change is always a beast at first, but this will likely be second nature to all of us soon enough, and this is certainly a more secure delivery systeme for the Real Secrets team.
