Those watching the Oscars tonight might have heard a familiar name honored.

Bill Taylor was recognized with the John Bonner Medal of Commendation by the Academy for his work in Visual Effects in film.

Bills photographic work has appeared in Genii as well as MAGIC. Also, his talk on Dai Vernons hand crafted silver cups was one of the most popular presented at the 12th Los Angeles Conference on Magic History in 2011 (he is also the Conferences official photographer). Congratulations Bill!

(It'd be great to see a feature on Mr. Taylor at some point--he's one of those underground legend kind of guys, and the stuff of his that has been published is really good).
