Has search the magic cafe link vanished ?

Postby Oddly Bent » March 21st, 2012, 10:15 pm

Has anyone heard any rumors why this search no longer works?

Not the kind of question you would ask over there.

You can use Google to search within only specific website by using the "site:" keyword

example: crap site:www.themagiccafe.com

I just tried the method above and it works quite well, even better
than "searchthe magiccafe".
The search at the Cafe itself makes you pick a specific forum rather than "search all forums" where a prop might be discussed, or a specific person who is knowledgeable about its history.
And I don't care if Google tracks me. I don't visit places where I don't belong so I have nothing to hide.
Magic Cafe is a great site with lots of good info, especially in my area of interest, history.

Search can really hammer the database of a site making it very slow for users.
