Chris Kenner Lifetime Acievement Award

Postby Magic Newswire » January 22nd, 2012, 5:21 pm

Chris was presented with a lifetime achievement award at the Session 2012 and I have just received the tribute video that was played at the event courtesy of Homer. Enjoy : http://bit.ly/vZFhuJ

Grammatical correction:

"It was great to have been in the audience for that." ;)

Ha, some calling Damien on something.

Role reversal if I ever saw one.

I don't think I ever really correct grammar here. Apart from when I was trolling Glenn Bishop.

And it's damiAn, bitch.

For those emailing me about difficult embedding it themselves, Homer has the video on his Vimeo page but has restricted permissions such that it can only be embedded in domains that he has added to his approval list for such. Luckily, the Magic Newswire was included in that list. Thanks Homer! http://bit.ly/vZFhuJ

The direct link from this page worked fine for me, without needing to click through Dodd's site.

I appreciate Dodd offering said direct link in addition to the link to his site.

It was great to be in the audience for that.

That is NOT incorrect grammar.

"It was great to have been in the audience for that" is also correct, but there was nothing wrong with Damian's comment.

The two sentences have slightly different meanings. It's possible that an event was not great to be at, but great to have been at.

If we are policing the written word, the letter 'h' was omitted from the thread's title.

The only thing I find interesting (or amusing) about this thread (the original subject aside, and congrats, Chris) is why Quentin Reynolds has change his screen name to "Q. Kumber."

Also Chris Angel's last name was misspelled "Kenner."

You are right. However, I knew QR was only joking, so I let it slide. Otherwise he might unleash his handkerchief mouse on me.

Thanks for having my back though, bro.
