Re: Great idea for a kids' show
From the text:
"t should be great fun to watch the children's reactions as seemly impossible and eye-popping, draw-dropping things start to happen right in front of their eyes"
Apparently they should have had a real teacher proof this for them.

By they you mean the CBBC folks, right?
It's easy to seem the fool in front of a classroom. I give the kids about two minutes to figure out what sort of "talent" they have given the film crew etc.

Re: Great idea for a kids' show
?
The first question is directed at the post above, the word "they" to be specific.
The second sentence is my prediction that the students will know something is up when the cameras are in the classroom and quickly figure out that the teacher is in on the event.
I'll ask around if the program has been broadcast to see what happened.

When I was getting my Master's degree, I was a substitute teacher at one of the toughest schools in Austin. I know the magic was a huge asset. I was one of the few substitutes who didn't end up running out in tears.
(I presume "relief" teacher is the same as a substitute teacher, or no?)
