Patrick Page Book To the Printers!

Postby Matthew Field » October 25th, 2011, 11:26 am

The big Patrick Page book, "Magic -- Page by Page", on which I've spent the last four years of my life, was sent off to the printers by the designer, the talented Michael Albright. It's 320 pages of Pat's magic, including Pat's innovative work on the stacked deck.

We expect it to be ready for the International Magic Convention in London next month. I hope I hope I hope.

Info (eventually) at www.PatrickPageMagic.co.uk .

(I have no financial interest in the book.)

Hi Matt

Great news - congratulations!

Will there be any deluxe/special editions of the book available?

Cheers

Because of unforeseen delays in the production of the book, I don't believe that there will be a deluxe edition. But check the Patrick Page Magic website to be sure.

As Matt has said on this site, we have finally (after a lot of hard work - Thank you Matt and Michael sent the book off to the printers.

We still do not know the exact weight so are still finalising the price of the book and shipping charges. We should know very soon and will post details on our website www.patrickpagemagic.co.uk

In the next few days we will be making available on the website a free pdf download for anyone who registers with the site of the cover of the book, the foreward written by Patrick himself and the list of chapters.

It has been a long time in gestation but I think that you will all see that it has been worth the weight.

Thanks to you all for your patience and understanding

Years ago I was at a FFFF and filmed Pat doing a few items. When I can find the video, I will send a copy to you.

Hi Philip,
I've downloaded the advance material and it looks to be a great publication.

Will there be a US distributor or is it exclusively through the website?

Thanks-

Thanks Jim for the favourable comment about the book.

The book will be available exclusively through Patrick Page Magic and online through our website for at least 2 years after its publication. Purchases can be made by Paypal and the ordering process is very quick and easy. We have lots of testimonials from customers in the USA about how quick we deliver items ordered to them. Excellent customer service is a fundamental part of our business. It's what people came to expect from Patrick and it's what they get from us.

We plan to be at the Blackpool Magic Convention in February 2012 and then later in the year at Blackpool again for FISM in July 2012 where it will be possible for the book to be purchased without having to pay the shipping costs. So if anyone from the USA is planning to be at either of those events, the book will be available then

Janette (Patrick's daughter) and I are looking to make at least one trip to the USA during the next two years to promote the book. Not sure when though or where. We are both big fans of the USA.
We are getting our breath a bit after the huge amount of work that has gone into getting the book ready (and preparing ourselves for the mammoth task of preparing the Patrick Page Sound Archive (details of that are on our website www.patrickpagemagic.co.uk).

Regards

Philip

I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished product. I spent four years working on it, and hope it reflects the love and respect I had for the great Patrick Page.

My copy of the book arrived this morning. I think it looks great (thanks to Micbhael Albright) and I hope it's something Pat would have been proud of. I know I am.

Matt we are all really pleased with it. It has taken more than 4 years to complete and of course includes knowledge of a lifetime but it really was worth the wait. Patrick would have loved it.

It is his legacy to the world of magic. He was a true genius (and a really nice, modest man as well).

The orders have come flooding in from the moment that it went on sale. We will be shpping them out this weekend and anything ordered over the weekend will be sent out on Monday. We are shipping all over the world.

Those of you who have purchased the book, please tell everyone about it. I am sure that it will make the perfect Christmas present for anyone interested in magic.

I am obviously biased as I was involved in its production but I am very confident that others will love the book when they see it.
