A magician hits rock bottom!
Some of you will be familiar with Steve Vaughn. He has posted on the GF quite regularly. He has hit some really hard times. He lives in Nevada with his wife, who is on heavy medication which they can no longer afford. The other day I was informed he had $19 left in the world, and his electricity had been cut off. All they have is limited food stamps. If any of you with compassion would like to help, I have a mailing address. A money order would probably be the best thing as it is easier and cheaper to cash. I also know of a magician who has a paypal account and is collecting for Steve. PM me and I will give you information if you would like to help a friend. Steve is a great bloke, and also ex military. Thanks! Roger
Re: A magician hits rock bottom!
If Steve is ex-military have him check the V.A. to see what and if any benefits he and his wife may be entitled to. A friend of mine was paying $160 a month for medications until I told him to check the V.A.
Re: A magician hits rock bottom!
Unless he is retired I doubt they will pay for his wifes medication.

He is retired, so that's not a bad idea.

I don't know Steve personally, but from his various writings and posts he seems like a guy who is exploring every option for someone in his situation and is really in need of support from the community.

On a point of information, someone on this forum pm'ed me asking for Steve's address to send a donation. When I clicked the pm reply button, the screen went blank. I tried several times, and the same thing happened. I just want to make sure this person got his address. I naturally don't want his address to be public on here. Thanks!

Sorry to be a pest...........but I am not that computer literate, and I just want to be clear on this. I also want to make sure Steve gets the money that people are kindly wanting to send him. I also do not understand why my last post came up three times!!! JR

The PM System doesn't work. We are going to upgrade our software shortly. In the meantime, please email people directly.

Re: A magician hits rock bottom!
Thanks Richard........................I did not know that. For those of you who who would like to make a donation to the plight of my friend Steve Vaughn, you can email me at comicmagician@cox.net
I will give you his mailing address.
There is also a paypal account that is set up if you would like to make a donation. Imagine, for a moment, that you are living in a shack in Nevada about 4 hours from Las Vegas. You are a magician, and you have a wife who is sick and needs medication desparately.. Neither you or your wife have a job, and unemployment benefit has run out. Your electricity has been cut off. You have $19 left in the world. You also served 6 years in the United States Navy. You are intellegent, and are not a bum.
This is the current predicament of Steve. Please help. Thanks! JR
