The doc today sent me to the hospital in the city (Albany GA) in an ambulance this afternoon. Said I was in danger of my spine collapsing due to the cancer in my lower back. I will go for it and try to get better. Got no way to really send emails without jumping through a bunch of hoops

Just off the phone with Tabbby... Doc said surgery went well and he will be in hospital for about a week for radiation and other therapy.

He sounded good, and up-beat and wanted me to thank all those that posted get well messages.

Tabman, hope you're feeling better soon. I know what it's like to have back surgery and believe it or not, those surgeons can and do work wonders. So don't get to feelin' sorry for yourself, there's a lot of magic left in the Tabman.

Here is the plan. It looks like the radiation therapy will be done by the weeks end but I am speculating. Doctor Jose will reveal it to me at the right time but we will 'take over' Mom's house in Americus. We will set up a hospital room in Mom's large living room and get a contractor to put a door in that big opening so I have some privacy. Jose is arranging for Hospice, they came by today, to administer my pain meds and whatever else I might need.
