Tom Stone and Ian Keable have been added to this years line-up for the Northern Magic Circles Convention. Swedens Tom Stone, the critically acclaimed author of Vortex and one of the most inventive minds in magic will be presenting his new lecture which has never before been seen in the UK, Tom will also be performing in both the close-up and stage gala show. To Comedy Magic and the more recent Magic Shows: 30 Years of Programmes from Daniels to Derren will be presenting his lecture as well as performing his one man show at the Saturday Late Show followed by a performance in the Sunday evening Gala Show. As well as Tom and Ian, this years convention also features Marc Oberon, Luke Jermay, Will Houstoun, Mat Ricardo, Thom Peterson, Ben Proos, Anthony Heaton, Brian Egerton, Paul Joyce, Darren Bonas, Clive Moore, Jeanie, High Jinx, Doug Gregg and Jay Scott-Berry. Had a great time at Fleetwood last year. This years line-up is superb. I was lucky enough to see Luke Jermay at the Sessions and I definitely want to see more of his work. Marc Oberon and Ian Keable too! what's the collective noun for mind readers? a Synapse perhaps?

The Northern Magic Circle are pleased to announce the final line up for this years gala show which will take place on Sunday 17th April. The host and compere for the evening will be Americas Amazing Guy, Thom Peterson. The show will feature the current FISM World Champion of Parlour Magic Marc Oberon, from Australia the elegant magic of Jay Scott-Berry, regular Las Vegas performer Luke Jermay, the astounding magic of award winning junior performer Ben Proos, laughs a plenty from Ian Keable, the amazing juggling skills of Mat Ricardo and Swedens award winning magician Tom Stone.

The Northern Magic Circle are once again offering the opportunity of a FREE master class at their forthcoming NMC Convention.

The Golden Ticket draw will see all whom register prior to 31st March 2011 entered into a draw for the masterclass, with 10 lucky winners being treated to a hands on session with Luke Jermay.

The Golden Ticket promotion is just one of the innovative ideas which have been implemented since the new Convention Team took on the organisation. The team have been working to provide a convention which appeals to ALL magicians in differing categories from mentalism to childrens and close-up to stage.

They acknowledged that re-branding was necessary to move the convention to the next level and as a result have created a new convention website and introduced online booking, masterclasses and other new features at the annual event. As a result, the team have seen registrations rise 50% from 2008 levels and have managed to attract some big names to the event with Gregory Wilson, Dynamo, Nathan Kranzo, Marc Paul, Kostya Kimlat and Thom Peterson all having joined them.

This year is no different with Jay Scott-Berry, Thom Peterson, Will Houstoun, Marc Oberon, Tom Stone, Ian Keable and Luke Jermay all in attendance. The convention takes place on Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th April 2011 at the Scarborough Spa which will see all events held under one roof, with workshops, lectures, shows and dealers.
