I've never seen this illusion or Steve Wyrick until now.

I feel tremendous embarrassment for the magic community. I cannot believe that with all the fantastic magicians out there, this guy gets on Ellen. From his "PUNX" jacket to the ring vanish that looked like it was performed for the first time...but that "appearance" of the girl...to see her crawling into the tank like that...

I was thrilled when Close-Up Week happened on Letterman. Magic on TV moved forward. But now this. Well, I guess two steps forward, one sorrowful, embarrassing step back.

So if he is Wyrick, he really planned this out long in advance.

I think it is more reasonable to assume that he is really just an attorney interested in the legal aspects of this, as he says.

MagicLaw is not Steve Wyrick, but he is a practicing litigation attorney in Texas. The fact that he practices in the state where Wyrick is from makes me suspicious. As I've learned to my dismay on several occasions, Texas boys stick together.
