Melinda was married to Lance Burton in 1993 but they divorced rather quickly. In 2000, she married Mark Evensvold, one of the founders of PF Chang's. In 2002 she said that she would stop performing to dedicate herself to her family. In 2003 she gave birth to their first child Mason Ray Evensvold (M) and in 2007 they had their second child (F) Mallory Rose.
