When is it "imitation and when is it "Theft?"
I can't add much more to this than what Marco Tempest had to say about this video. READ MORE

Not an exact copy as Marco was better dressed and he smiled. The other guys look SO SERIOUS while Marco looks like he's having fun.
It takes no talent or skill to copy someone who has labored hard on his creation. Clearly, The Twins are making a statement about themselves and it's not good.

The YouChoob video has been taken down, but it was seen last night. The similarities are stunning, and it only adds to the fire that one of the Twins has acted to suppress it. To claim that this was independent invention is an insult to the intelligence of anyone who has watched it.
Perhaps it will see the light of day on another video site soon.
Take care, Ian

Re: When is it "imitation and when is it "Theft?"
I remember a YooKay tv show a while back, where the Twins were pitching for some funding. When asked to show the panel a trick one of them replied 'we're illusionists, not magicians'. Fair enough, but why are they selling magic sets on their website, and not even giving a list of contents? The there's the quote 'Contents may vary in The Twin Tricks collections.'
Also, they bill themselves as the only identical twin illusionists in the world - what about those Japanses kids that were at Blackpool a few years ago? They did some illusions...
If you hear a rushing sound it's the air whooshing into the space where the Twins' respect used to be...
Take care, Ian

Video is back up.
Re: When is it "imitation and when is it "Theft?"
it does seem just to close to 'exactly the same' to be something that was created independently.. Chris Kenner talked about it this week on another magic new podcast and was of the same opinion..
To be honest I've not seem much of the twins, but from what i have seen on that video.. it doesnt look original and Marco has SUCH a lead on this area, it seems stupid to try and pull of his stuff exactly as is!!!

For anyone interested, here's a link to Kenner's chat with Justin at iTricks.

Looks like "The Twins" aren't happy that this video keeps popping up as they continue to contact YouTube and claim copyright violations to have it pulled. Fortunately, several people keep reposting it. Try it again as I found another one today and updated the story.

I stand corrected. From the back of the balcony they looked very similar!

Something about imitating a living performer is creepy.

The did a transposition, and I remember thinking that they could have just changed their waistcoats and no one would have known the difference :)

That is REALLY shady that the Twins are filing copyright infringement on Marco, who is an established original inventive mind. Sheesh.
