Postby Pete Biro » September 29th, 2004, 6:26 pm

Uh, if they are artificial fakes, would that make them real?

Dunno?

Anyway... do any of you kind folks out there know where any FAKE realistic looking Olives can be obtained? For purchase that is.

Incredible Inedibles makes them. Go to their website http://www.incredibleinedibles.net and enter OLIVES into the search box. While you're there, check out the other fake foods they have -- you might get inspired!

Jamy Ian Swiss used to sell a set of fake olives including a jumbo olive along with instructions for a chop cup type routine using a bar glass wrapped in a napkin. It also had a cool surprise ending.

Pete:

Greg Wilson (?) had some great ones with Jiggernaut the cute routine using a jigger and olives.

You know me, I immediately bought some extras from, I think, Magicsmith.

Check it out.

There is a fantastic routine with a fake olive (wooden or rubber would work fine) on Doc Eason's latest DVD, "After all these years."

I believe it was Wes James that told me this, but green imatation grapes can easily be converted to olives.

Hey Pete! Steve is right you can make fake olives outta plastic grapes and a chunk o' red sponge ball. You will want to find plastic grapes that are well... thick, so the redness of the sponge does not show thru.
One thing is you'll have quite a supply of olives!
