Postgraduate student for another month and a half. So living on government support and out of parents pockets. Hopefully I will find a nice media related job in the future, Passion for producing television shows and anything related to marketing management.

I have been lucky enough to be born in a family that has interests in several mediums and in printing so I have spend my summers learning about printing and television.

Television Post-production, duplication, conversions, resoration.
---I worked in the MTV studio for their first ten years. I now control the quality of about 10% of the commercials aired throughout the US. My main client buys the time far, far in advance , but doesn't fill those spots till yesterday, so today I will be duplicating about 3000 commecials for you good folks. Ever wonder why you don't have to lower the volume on commercials anymore (National spots, not local car crap!)? So when you say hello at "13" speak up since I've blown-out my earwigs.

So between politics and magic I con people for a living 24/7.

Manager of Information Technologies for a medium sized heavy and sheet metal fabrication shop... thinking about putting some of those machines to work making gaffs, but unfortunately I use gaffed coins much better than I can design or manufacture them ;)

Bar and coffee house magic at night, weekends, and on the days that I claim that I'm "working from home".

Database programmer for a software company that writes and maintains a commercial database system for operating nursing homes and retirement centers. http://www.advanced-answers.com/index.html I program in a database language that most computer experts have never heard of: Magic. http://www.magicsoftware.com Magic programmers are called magicians, so I'm both a professional and an amateur magician.

These days, it quite depends on the time of year and which way the paycheck wind is blowing. I'm a full time geek of one sort or another, but it varies between:

-Sound geek, most recently as the assistant sound engineer for the national tour of the musical "The Full Monty", also doing sound engineering/design for various other smaller theatre and concert productions in NY/NJ/wherever.

-Mentalism geek, although sound's kept me pretty busy for the last year or so, and college had most of my time before that.

-Magic geek, writing, publishing, manufacturing various thoughts/effects/books/what-have-you for magicians (and mentalists, see above) along with my partner-in-crime Andi Gladwin, at http://www.asquaredproductions.com as well as reviewing products now and then online, usually in great detail, and occasionally upsetting people who release junk and don't like being told that. :)

-Finally, while not a job, I'm a confessed Palm geek as well. I've lost track of how many models I've upgraded through to my current one, but I couldn't live without it.

Worked on and off for over 15 years demonstrating magic behind the counter of Bishops Magic Shop. Never got a pay check but it had other perks. That was the only real day job I have had.

Booked and performed in over 87 different restaurants, night clubs over the past 30 years.

Besides being a stay at home Dad I perform hypnosis and magic at Fairs, festivals, high schools colleges and night clubs.

Produce DVD's on magic and do shows.

I can usually be found navigating my way through hordes of aleins and demons delivering huge deathblow combos to any Boss that may come my way.

And if I'm not found yelling and screaming at my television I'm behind my drum set trying to find The Lost Beat.

...then it's off to the restaurants.

From 8:30 to 5:30, five days a week, I'm a Senior Usability Specialist for Point2 Technologies, Inc., a Saskatoon-based software development company. Currently, I am the lead user experience designer for CatUsed.com, which is Caterpillar Inc.'s official online source for used heavy equipment.

I am also a professional writer with a fairly thick portfolio of work including a few hundred print publications (newspapers, magazines, academic journals, etc.), stand-up comedy, video & television scripts, software manuals, and more --- a background which has been very useful when developing patter and scripting routines.

When I grow up, I want to be a mind surgeon.

The brain sounds like fun, but that handful of grey jello is too complicated for me... I'd rather work with the software.

For the past 24 years, I have preached the gospel in Chino, CA. I also taught at a school of biblical studies for 13 years. Magic has been a hobby of mine since I was 15 years old. I have written one article for Genii (prior to Mr. Kaufman taking over). Aldo Columbini is publishing a card effect of mine in a future issue of Linking Rings. I have also published a book on "Coping" from a biblical perspective. I find the other posts enlightening.

Well, let's see.

During the 70's I was a Private Investigator in Las Vegas, Nevada. That was a pip of a job!!

Came back to New York and became a Police Officer.
Eventually promoted to Detective.
Did that throughout the 80's and the 90's.

Did Magic behind a bar at local establishments and private parties throughout the 80's and 90's.

Currently working on a Stand Up Act while I can still stand up.

That's about it other than I enjoy reading everyone's posts.

Take Care,

Vinny D.
