In steve spills' book "i lie for money" in the audio version the narrator pronounced genii magazine as jeanie eye.have been calling it genii magazine wrong for 40+ years..just checking

There are several different pronunciations.
First, "Genii" is the plural of "Genie."
It has always been called, by those who own it, "Gee-knee."
Some say "Gee-nye," while other say, "Gee-knee-I."
As far as I'm concerned you can call it anything you like as long as you buy it.
