You are in for a treat.

His live work is even better than his TV work.

The second iteration of Ghost Train sounds better provided you think of VR as a theme-park attraction.

The VR elements have always been on the ride, they've just been beefed up in this re-tooling. It's a multi-phase ride that is best described as an extreme horror maze rather than as a ride; You're batched in to groups of 50 and go through a series of rooms/experiences, part of that involves using VR headsets whilst on a motion-base in order to create a completely immersive experience that drives the narrative of the story as a whole. You're only using the VR system in 2 of the 8 different stages of the attraction; the other 6 are all entirely physical experiences. There's around 40 live actors involved, epic theming, motion bases, special FX, smells, surprises; it certainly is a significant step up in dark-ride technology and concepts. Whilst the ride is (genuinely) a completely new experience unlike anything else the easiest way to describe the VR element is to compare it to the Spiderman/Transformers/Ratatouille rides where the technology is blended with real-world theming to create an experience that neither technology could offer on its own; the experience was built by a partnership of 4 major theme park ride companies due to the specialist skills and new technologies involved.

(Disclosure: i have engineering/design involvement in this ride)

There are no spoilers in this review, or more aptly, reaction, to Mr. Brown's first preview last night.
