Congratulations to Steve Bryant on hitting his twentieth anniversary as the writer, creator and curator of the wonderful Little Egypt Magic Gazette.

It is the longest running site around devoted to magic and still one of the very best. Steve is a superb writer and has an uncanny ability to draw attention to what is novel and interesting in the latest magic. I regularly use his recommendations to dig out tricks and subtleties from books and magazines that I would otherwise have missed. As well as hearing about interesting books that would otherwise have passed me by.

There is no greater gift to a fellow magician than useful recommendations like that. At least to a magic nerd like me.

I will always have fond memories of this site since stumbling across it was one of my earliest memories of the internet.

Thanks once again for all your efforts. And good luck in the future. I always enjoy checking out the latest issue and I hope you have the stamina for another 20 years!

Back around 1997, when I was new to magic, I ran across Steve's Little Egypt Gazette. It was password protected then, by answering a magic question, and as I went through the back issues, there were some I didn't know. I sent Steve an email and while he wouldn't tell me the answers directly, he did give me some hints that let me work them out. I've always appreciated that help to a newbie, and as the years have gone by he's become an email friend, and after meeting him at a few conventions, a regular friend as well (at least, as regular as someone who writes ghost stories can be, I suppose . . . )

Congratulations, Steve, and here's to 20 more.
