Jonathan Levit's father makes beautiful wands. They are a tad pricey, but beautiful and they handle very nicely (wand spins, etc.):

When the Phoenix Cups were new, they came with a simple ironwood stick. Persimmon wood is resistant to impacts (they make golf club heads from it), and it might work good.

I'd like to thank Damian for buying me a set of Sherwood cups to say thanks for all the support over the last couple of years. I've always wanted a set, and I think it shows a remarkable level of generosity that he make this gesture...

Wait, what?

Oh.

Kozmo sells some very nice wooden wands.
