Bill didn't mention this, but the book he asked me to sign was, "I Was Tortured By The Pygmy Love Queen."

I sent Mr. Farmer an IOU months ago, and still haven't received my copy of ITTCPD.

Link. No, Bob, when you signed that one, you inscribed it "I've Seen You Work -- This Book Is Not For You!"

Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal
Have just come across Losing End Poker in the Bammo book (p 318-320).
Others have mentioned this non-Jonah method earlier in this post.
What a brilliant card trick!
Made my day.
Thanks, Jon Racherbaumer and compiler Bob Farmer, for including it in the book.

Thank you for the compliment.
My next book will be the Bammo Flim-Flam CONglomeration and the book after that will be the Bammo Think-of-a-Card Encephalon. No dates yet.

Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal
I have had several inquiries about the availability of The Bammo Ten Card Deal Dossier. I am completely sold out, and it seems so is everyone else, but it appears to be available from Geno Munari:

Bammo Fans take notice: this week I will be releasing The Bammo Brain Bamboozler. Emails to all my customers to follow shortly. This is addendum #1 to The Bammo Gaffus Maximus.

The Bammo Ten Card Deal Dossier New Edition
It’s back! Copies of the original hardback edition—if you can find them—have been selling online for hundreds of dollars. The book is literally unobtainable. Its value, inestimable.
But now Houdini Magic and Bob Farmer have joined forces to print a new edition in a luxurious supple format. The contents of the new edition are exactly the same as the original.
However, the new edition comes with a DVD which contains videos featuring Allan Ackerman, Tim Ellis, Curtis Kam and Mike Porstmann and a 37-page booklet of all new material.
The price is $45 but here’s the deal: if you already have a copy of the first edition, you can purchase just the DVD and the booklet for $15. Shipping is extra. Don’t miss out this time because when this printing is gone there will be no more.
Available ONLY from Houdini Magic, not from me.

One more thing: With, “Escorial 3 Cards Monte,” (aka “Visible Monte”), Gaetan Bloom invented one of the most revolutionary gaffed cards in history. It has been ignored by the magic demimonde, but not by me. The results are here:

Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal
From the Oxford dictionary:
Demimonde
noun
“ the class of women considered to be of doubtful morality and social standing.”
I forget, which is the oldest profession?

Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal
Bob,
Does your Bloom card manuscript include instructions on constructing the gaff? I haven't really looked, but I don't think it is readily available for purchase.

Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal
Yes, the manuscript contains detailed instructions on how to make the gaff but I construct it differently than Gaetan did. The great advantage of this gaff is how easy it is to make--it takes a few minutes and requires no skill whatsoever.

Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal
From Wikipedia:
Demi-monde refers to a group of people who live hedonistic lifestyles, usually in a flagrant and conspicuous manner. The term was commonly used in Europe from the late nineteenth to the early twentieth century, and contemporary use has an anachronistic character. Its connotations of pleasure-seeking often contrasted with wealth and ruling class behavior.
The term 'demi-monde' is French for "half-world". It derives from a comedy called Le Demi-Monde, by Alexandre Dumas fils, published in 1855.[1]
The term was often used as one of disapprobation, the behavior of a person in the demimonde being contrary to more traditional or bourgeois values. Such behaviors often included drinking or drug use, gambling, high spending (particularly in pursuit of fashion, as through clothing as well as servants and houses), and sexual promiscuity. The term demimondaine referred to a woman who embodied these qualities; later it became a euphemism for a courtesan or prostitute.
As the twentieth century dawned, changing social mores resulted in the demarginalization of the demimonde. Women's suffrage and the flapper movements resulted in the label demimondaine becoming obsolete. The term commonly used to refer to the class that became 'starving artists'.
