Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal
is 5 aces a good ending? isn't that really just a change of one element - the one non ace card.
perhaps of one ended with 5 aces of spades. that's visually clearer. But I'm not sure it is as impactful as a royal flush.

First, going to print within a few days.
Yes, a Royal Flush works better because even people who know nothing about Poker have heard of it. One of the main presentational problems with the trick is that some audience members may know nothing about the game. There is a solution to this: it's in the book.

I love that movie but not as much as "Re-animator".

I've watched Reanimator so many times that it has just burned itself out for me. The director's cut of From Beyond is only a few years old ... I love showing it to unsuspecting friends. You should see the looks on their faces when Combs spits out the eyeball!

When do you anticipate this will ship?
And, ordered!
And, ordered!
Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal
So, is Canada considered a "foreign" country (international shipping) for the purposes of ordering this book?
Magicana is IN Canada, you send your money TO Canada?
...but if you are in Canada and order the book from Canada you pay $30.00 more than if you're in the U.S. and order the book, AND you get free postage if you'rein the U.S.?
Sorry, confused as to exactly what the process is for ordering this book from within Canada.

I will hazard a guess that the fulfillment (storage and shipment) of the orders is done in the US.

Not that I need to see the table of contents to convince me that this is a great book - but - clicking the "Check out the Table of Contents" link brings up this message: "OOPS! THAT PAGE CAN’T BE FOUND."

I echo the above. I live in Canada and considering Bob lives in Canada, Magicana is in Canada and you send payment to Canada, I figure there should some accommodation for Canadians.
I'm holding off until I can get some clarity on the above.
Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal
Both sides are partially correct.
Bob and Magicana are in Canada. The printer and the fulfillment centre are in the United States. There will be a small allotment of books delivered for distribution from Magicana.
For those who reside in Canada, and want to purchase it from us here, we have to calculate the exchange rate, the cost of shipping it to our office in Canada, and the Canada Post rate for the size and weight of the book. (Canada Post is much more expensive that US Post.) Then, we are required by law to charge HST on the book in Canada. The rate of HST will vary according to the province of residence of the recipient. 13% HST in Ontario, 5% if shipped out of Ontario to another province of territory.
So, in the end, in may actually be cheaper for Canadian customers to order the book so that it is shipped directly to them from the States.
Again, we are trying to finalize the "shipped in Canada" option. We will let you know as soon as we know.

Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal
We will post the Canadian postage tomorrow and figure out the credits, etc., for any Canadian customer.
I've sold so few things in Canada over the years, I'm just happy there ARE Canadian customers.

Thanks for the insight David and Bob.
I'll be patiently looking for the "Canada" button on the website.

Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal
If anyone wants my pathetic signature, add that as a note to the order or let Magicana know and I'll add a signature.
Usually, I sign all my books this way:
"To (insert name of magician).
"I've seen you work. This book is not for you.
"Sincerely, Bob Farmer, Life Coach."

Re: Inventing The Ten Card Poker Deal
The Canadian postage and handling will be up today.
Canada Post has a unique business philosophy which, as far as I can tell, ensures they will fail. It is: reduce service and raise prices. Unlike the U.S., Canada does not have a so-called, "book rate."
For example, to send the book to the U.S. from Canada (rather than to the U.S. from the U.S.), Canada Post quoted me around $50. Yes, they're insane.

Your perfect.
Don't Change.
I submitted my request to Julie at Magicana.

Canadians: We have just worked out a Canadian Dollar equivalent for the pre-publication offer for The Bammo Ten Card Deal Dossier, including shipping & handling and HST, which comes to a grand total of $92.79 CDN. Here is the breakdown in Canadian funds:
Book $69 plus 5%HST = $72.45
Shipping & Handling $18 plus 13% HST = $20.34
TOTAL $92.79 CDN
There is now a "Buy Now" for Canadian residents on our order page: http://www.magicana.com/publications/bammo/

Yes, but which sentence is it?
Ordered.
I was pleased to see that the book is less than the original estimate ("around $75") and if you pre-order it's even less than that!
Thanks Bob
