OCTOBER ISSUE OF GENII IN THE MAIL!

Postby Richard Kaufman » September 12th, 2004, 9:05 pm

The October issue, featuring David Regal's article on Bruce Cervon, went in the mail on Friday--a little late this month because of printer errors.
The Cervon version of "Out of Sight--Out of Mind" is a classic and worth the price of your subscription.
I'll be curious to hear when you receive it.

Having seen Cervon DO both tricks (before I shot the photos) I can tell you THESE ARE KILLER worth a year's subscription.

Open letter to Bruce: "Many thanks for the credit, re: your finger ring routine." Which, by the way is SUPERB.

Honestly, it's a toss-up between Genii and Star Wars.

I got my magazine on October 21st. I'm really enjoy the Cervon article--it's a very good issue.

A little question: was it a typo that Max Maven's "Inquisition" ends on an unusally charming note? I thought it was a bit grim myself.

Hong Kong? Hah... look for Teddy Yip (drop his name). He owns a couple of Casino/Bordellos in Macau... you should see him do the 3-card monte and fast and loose!

Still haven't gotten mine in NY NY. I called the Genii office yesterday and the general policy is to wait for 20 days after the month of the issue ends (Nov 20th for the Oct issue) to send a replacement.

That was the David Kaye issue. I've always liked Genii Magazine but I have to tell you, these last few issues have been expecially great. The October issue is stellar.

Issue after issue of Genii is superb. Take some time at your next magic club meeting/gathering to let folks know what they are missing by not reading every single issue. The best way we can thank Richard for what he has done with Genii is to help increase circulation. ;)

Another good idea, Jerry. Maybe the head Genii could make a downloadable subscription form available on the website so we could print out a few and hand them around. Some years ago I used to send out Genii sub forms with my newsletter Crossroader's Bluze and with orders too. Dante would send them to me by the hundreds but now it would be easy enough to print them ourselves.

bennettjc's statement is incorrect: we will send out a replacement on the 21st of the month in which the issue is dated, so if you have not received the October issue by OCTOBER 21, we'll be happy to send a replacement immediately.
Man, it's only October 2nd!!!!!!

Bruce Cervon's take on "Out of Mind ..." is fantastic -- this one effect is easily worth a year's subscription.

Received my copy of Genii today here in Quebec City. This issue is certainly one of the reasons I suscribe to Genii. The Cervon interview is fantastic as is his magic. Now if you would indulge me and do an issue on Bill Goodwin.... or Mike Weber or...

Still haven't received the October issue here in the Netherlands.
Genii used to be on time everytime, but not the last three months. Has something changed with the way it is being sent?

Herman, its been the same in the UK, I think Richard said something about the Royal Mail which I can understand as they are getting beyond a joke... but if its happening in other parts of Europe as well... not that I'm complaining as the last few issues have arrived towards the end of the month, and have been truely remarkable in quality, so still a few days to go before I think about asking for a replacement to be sent!

Not sure about renewing my airmail sub though, wonder what the difference in days is now between that and surface, anyone here get it surface to the UK?

Genii switched the mailing company it uses in certain parts of Europe and the UK. This may account for the delay.
Surface mail takes MONTHS.

I wish you'd switch back. I still haven't received the September issue. Airmail shouldn't take more than two weeks at most, normally just one.

I've got to agree with Bob Farmer about the Bruce Cervon article, and especially his work on OOS OOM.

First rate material.
