Hello
I was discussing the Think a Card plot with a friend.
Here is a brief clip of the impromptu version at a trade show.

Haha, that guy is the perfect cross between a business man and magician. Overall great trick tho, 7/10.

Something hit me like a brick wall while watching Eric perform these amazing effects... ...and that is, that there was no audience response after each successful revelation.
I would like to know why this might be.
Any thoughts?

Hey Eric,
nice seeing you again! :-)
I still remember seeing Eric do that routine when he was here in germany, and it blew me away! :-)
To the why people do not respond, it is probalbly the surroundings, sometimes it just does not feel right to applaude to people and if you do not encourage it they simple will not!
Best,
Stefan

Hello Stefan
How are you doing, it's been a minute. Lets try to stay in contact with each other.
Hello Greg
Stefan is correct. Since this is the first thing I'm doing for the audience, if I let them applaud or actually give them an applause cue it signifies "The End". This gives the audience permission to leave and making the process of building / keeping the crowd a little more challenging.
For a stand-up / stage presentation the pacing is slightly different allowing the audience to release.

Hmm... Interesting viewpoint regarding applause. I've always used applause and noise from the spectators to draw bigger crowds. Not to lose the ones I have already gathered. Granted... I'm working medieval markets and the like using this technique and not business orientated trade shows; although, I have done them too using the "noise" technique. Its sounds strange to me. Can you flesh out the idea of silence drawing a crowd more? I am intrigued.
