Another really fine issue, especially the Marvyn Roy cover story. The Henderson "Phenomenon" piece would have been twice as good if it had been half as long.

I read the entire issue yesterday waiting in lines at Disneyland. My teenage daughter and her friends ditched me, so I was the lone Party of One for a lot of rides. Even though Marvin Roy has been on 6(?) Genii covers, I didn't really know much about him. Great story.

Reply to Lee Almond: You said the old Mr. Electric issue was in 1974. I have that issue somewhere in my files. You are making me feel old!

In response to Isagmagic:
I went digging through the old cedar chest tonight and found my first Genii with Marvyn & Carol Roy on the cover. It is June 1974, vol 38 #6. On the second page Norm Nielsen has an ad for his Vanishing Dove Cage which retails for $775.00 dollars. Ya think Norm will still honor that ad? LOL. :D

I picked up my copy at Barry's Magic on Friday the 22nd. Another exquisite issue. The article on Marvyn and Carol was great--but too short. I wanted to read more about them. Mr. Roy is retired, but still performs magic at a local restaurant. That is amazing!

My copy arrived on Tuesday (02/26) but I haven't finished reading this month's issue yet. In fact, I need to go back and finish Guy Hollingworth's article in the January issue!

Matt, would March be your first issue under your subscription? While we allow until the middle of March for it to actually arrive, you might want to e-mail me your address just so we can double check it.
