Jan issue

Postby kid iowa » December 28th, 2004, 9:00 am

Just wondering, has the January issue been sent yet? I'm going into DT's since my wife declared this Christmas to be "magic free". *sigh*

"magic free"... yow!!! I gave my gal, gloria a dvd on card splitting a couple days before the 25th and now she's up at the house gleefully enjoying a little holiday cheer and splitting cards!!! she just looks at them funny and they literally split themselves. now, I can split a card barely myself but don't like to. I'd almost rather be forced to take a chug of white lightnin' than have to find the corner.

Also, I hate to tell you I got the January Genii yesterday and it's as good an issue as there is, I don't even want to tell you what's in there.

Now tell me if I'm wrong but I don't remember seeing any card magic in there. Please tell me I'm wrong and missed it!@!!

Anyone recieved the January issue in the UK yet? I'm beginning to panic as we are now discussing the February issue, I got the December one, and even renewed my subscription in the middle of December, and got a confirmation e-mail, but no January issue?

Rich.

It's not quite the UK, but mine arrived about a week ago. Genii usually seems to reach the UK first, but there are exceptions.

I got the Feb issue this morning, but I've still not seen the January one yet...

The last one I got was the Jon Armstrong issue in December.

Take care, Ian

I just received the issue with "THE ABSOLONS" on the cover, July 1987. Mail delivery is a little slow in Canada because very few Canadians can read, so a lot of stuff just circulates until someone recognizes it as theirs. Luckily as soon as I saw "The Absolons" on the cover, I knew it was mine.

What a great issue! Where else could you find a "Short History of Czechoslovakian Conjuroring" as well as Karel and Blanka Absolon's autobiography. Oh yeah, the photo of Richard strangling Dr. Sawa (or is it the other way round)is a keeper!!!

Ever since Stewart James passed away Canadian mail has been all screwed up.

Received the January issue yesterday, Feb 1st. That's OK by me. I don't subscribe for the news headlines. Interesting 'meaty' issue with several articles of interest (not all to me!) even if no tricks, unless you count the Tarbell stuff.
