I regret to inform you all that friend and fellow magician, Mark Johnson, passed away in his home and was found Monday by his magic instructor, Tyler Erickson.
Mark was a frequent visitor to this site, and a wonderful student of magic, and just a great guy.
He will be missed by all.
Rest in Peace, Mark Johnson
Re: Rest in Peace, Mark Johnson
That is sad and shocking news.
I enjoyed Mark's posts here, a slightly cantankerous voice obviously in love with life and magic.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Johnson.

Re: Rest in Peace, Mark Johnson
As pointed out by my friend Randy, it was obvious Mark was in love with life. He listed aviation as one of his interests. I don't know if he was a pilot, or just wanted to be one, but I have had the pleasure of knowing several pilots over the years, and the one common thread that they seem to share is an unbridled passion for all that they do. What a wonderful way to live.
My thoughts go out to his friends and family.

Re: Rest in Peace, Mark Johnson
Mark was passionate about magic especially gambling scams. I had the chance to session with him and Chad Long until 4am a few weeks ago at the Minnesota Magic Convention. He obviously enjoyed hanging out with the gang until the wee hours.
Rest in Peace.

I'm truly saddened and shocked by the death of Mark Johnson. He was a really nice guy and I'm glad I got the chance to meet and hang out with him. Rest in peace, Mark. We'll session again one day...
